I began to understand the power of design in 2015 when, as a freshman, I was elected local music director of my college radio station. I printed a batch of 100 “I HATE LOCAL MUSIC” shirts and gave them out to local musicians and DJs, an attempt to provoke conversations about music and local shows. This gesture reinvigorated the relationship between the radio and the music scene.
Soon after, I became the General Manager of the radio. As GM, I led a complete brand overhaul and established a new outreach program. We doubled radio membership and programming hours in the year I served as GM, which brought increased community and university investment to a radio station with previously declining student involvement and threatened budget cuts.
From there, I started my own graphic design journey making posters and merch for bands. Since then, I have done design work for small businesses, members of the Atlanta and New York art scenes, activists and friends.
After three years of successful brand development and visual strategizing for an enviornmentalist media group, I am now looking to “go pro” and would love to work with you.
